Chugach uses various assessment tools to obtain
information about student learning; these tools are used to
guide a variety of educational strategies and decisions.
Methods may include observations, interviews, video/audio
tapes, projects, experiments, tests, performances and
portfolios.

Contextual Assessments: Assesses the quality of
performance, and measures skills applied in the context of a
real world situation.*
Analytical Assessments: Assesses the ability to
measure the application of skills and knowledge that
compares and contrasts the parts of the whole.*
Student Self Assessments: Student directed
assessments of knowledge and skills of a particular standard
and level.
Skills Assessments: Demonstration of knowledge and
skills through basic recall of facts and specifics in a
traditional fashion
